Privacy Policy
How GivelyDF collects, uses, shares and retains personal information in connection with verified giving recognition, GLT administration and Lifetime Impact Certificates.
Effective date: 31 July 2026
Status: FOR CANADIAN PRIVACY AND REGULATORY REVIEW
1. Scope and controller
This Privacy Policy applies to GivelyDF (givelydf.com and related recognition services operated by Gively Crowdfunding & Digital Finance Inc., “Gively,” “we,” “us”). It covers donors, account holders and visitors whose personal information we handle when verifying eligible giving, issuing or adjusting GLT, administering recognition levels and certificates, and securing accounts.
GivelyCF fundraising and checkout are governed primarily by the GivelyCF Privacy Policy. Where account or donation data flows between GivelyCF and GivelyDF, both policies may apply to their respective processing.
2. Information we collect
We collect only personal information reasonably needed to operate and secure GivelyDF recognition services. Categories may include:
- Account identifiers: name, email, authentication credentials, and profile details you provide.
- Verified giving history: campaign or cause references, donation amounts and currencies, dates, platform or source identifiers, and verification status.
- Donation evidence: uploaded non-tax receipts, screenshots or confirmation documents you submit for proof-of-giving review.
- GLT and recognition records: GLT earned, reversed or used; recognition level; certificate metadata; and related adjustments.
- KYC and fraud-control data: identity documents, selfie or liveness captures, risk scores and review notes where KYC is required.
- Technical and security data: device, IP, logs, cookies needed for authentication and integrity of the service.
3. How we use personal information
We use personal information to:
- Create and administer accounts; authenticate users; and provide recognition dashboards.
- Verify eligible giving; review proof uploads; issue, correct, reverse or cancel GLT; and maintain recognition levels and certificates.
- Detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, account takeover, duplicate claims and policy violations.
- Share necessary account and recognition signals with GivelyCF for a connected experience, reconciliation and support.
- Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and enforce our Terms of Service.
- Improve security, reliability and clarity of the recognition product where processing is compatible with these purposes.
4. Data sharing with GivelyCF
GivelyDF and GivelyCF are connected products. We may share account identifiers, eligible verified giving signals, GLT and recognition status, certificate status, corrections, reversals, KYC or fraud signals, and support records with GivelyCF where reasonably needed to provide a connected account experience, reconcile records, support users, or enforce applicable terms.
GivelyCF may share corresponding donation and account information with GivelyDF so that eligible giving can be recognized. A listing, link or integration does not mean we endorse a third party’s independent privacy practices.
5. Merchants, platforms and service providers
Prospective ecosystem providers under evaluation. No partnership or integration should be inferred unless formally announced. We do not treat named prospective merchants or loyalty providers as current partners, and we do not display their logos as endorsements without permission and an executed relationship.
We use processors (hosting, email, identity verification, analytics where permitted, blockchain or certificate infrastructure) under contractual and access controls. Some third parties, such as donation platforms where you gave or merchants whose privileges you may later access, may act independently under their own notices.
6. Retention of identity and donation evidence
We retain identity, KYC, account, verified giving history and donation-evidence records for as long as needed to administer GLT and certificates, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, meet legal and audit obligations, and operate backups. When records are no longer required for these purposes, we delete or de-identify them according to our retention schedule.
Uploaded receipts and screenshots are retained for verification, anti-fraud review and audit. Do not upload full payment-card numbers, passwords or unnecessary sensitive data.
7. Blockchain records and certificates
Where certificate or recognition metadata is recorded on a blockchain or similar immutable ledger, that record may be difficult or impossible to alter or erase. Public verification links or QR codes may reveal limited recognition information. We explain material permanence limitations in product notices where practicable.
8. Security
We apply safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of identity and donation evidence. No system is completely secure. Users must protect credentials and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
9. Your privacy rights and choices
Subject to applicable Canadian privacy law, you may request access to or correction of personal information, withdraw consent where processing is consent-based, and complain about our privacy practices. Contact the Privacy Officer using the email below. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or another regulator with jurisdiction.
Where Quebec’s private-sector privacy law applies, additional rights and accountability duties may apply as prescribed by that law.
11. Changes, governing law and contact
We may update this Policy and will post the revised version with an updated effective date. Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate.
This Policy is intended to be read under the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without prejudice to non-waivable privacy rights.
